Having recently taken on the role of CEO of bothUltimate Living andHard Night Good Morning, I am constantly looking for ways to promote inner and outer wellness. One ingredient I have found to be profoundly beneficial for both is aloe vera.
The aloe vera plant has been around for centuries. The numerous benefits of this wonder plant, when applied topically, are fairly widely known. It has even been regarded as a “Miracle Skincare Ingredient” by Elle Magazine.
Aloe vera’s hydration qualities help to prevent and fight against dry and cracked skin, as well as help to soothe and reduce discomfort. The powerful healing activity of this plant’s anti-inflammatory properties help to combat sunburns, skin irritations, and even acne. This miracle plant is high in vitamins and rich in antioxidants which are useful in combating free radical damage and signs of aging. For these reasons and many more, aloe vera is the foundation of almost every product we have created here atHard Night Good Morning.
Given its rise in popularity in the skin care industry, it’s no wonder that aloe vera is also a star in both supplements and wellness products.Ultimate Living’s Aloe Tropical (formerlyAloe Papaya) uses both whole and inner leaf organic aloe vera to reap all benefits of the plant. The aloe used in this product has been shown to decrease wrinkles, increase skin elasticity, and help increase collagen production after taking it orally for 12 weeks. The roughness of the skin also decreased, which allows for a renewed and fresh look.
Additionally, aloe vera can provide other incredible benefits for your body. Its vitamin content includes Vitamins A, B12, C, and E, along with folic acid, chromium, zinc, and potassium. This composition of vitamins, combined with its powerful antioxidant content, make it great for promoting immune system function and preventing oxidative damage. Aloe also contains 8 enzymes and 12 anthraquinones which have natural laxative, antiviral and antibacterial effects. This makes aloe vera extremely helpful for proper digestion among other benefits. One lesser known fact about aloe is that it helps to inhibit the growth of certain harmful bacterias and lessen yeast formation, which is very important for promoting gut and colon health.
Aloe Vera is one of my absolute favorite ingredients to include in my products, whether it be for outer or inner health. The benefits are multifaceted, and the research is prolific. With the multitude of benefits this plant has to offer, I think it’s easy to see why we choose aloe as an external and internal cosmetic!
